3 Simple Things You Can Do To Relieve Stress Everyday

Today I'm talking about three simple things you can do to relieve stress every day.


I love making life super easy, super fun. And I structure my life to feel accomplished at the end of my day instead of like I'm always behind.


Simplify Your Life


One of the things we talk about a lot in our Herbal Apprentice Program is how to simplify our lives and not get bogged down by the daily tasks.



Especially when it comes to self-care, I see so many people adding tons of stuff to their list.


When I started as an herbalist, I was like,


“Okay, self-care means I have to:

  • get a massage

  • do my yoga

  • meditation daily

  • do my special breathing

  • take my vitamins..."


I mean, the to-do list just keeps going on and on.



And it's so easy to get overwhelmed by all these things that we stop doing it all completely, and then we're back to, “Oh my gosh, I'm so stressed out and I can't figure out why.”

So I like to break that cycle and really get it down to three simple things that will make your life easier and better one step at a time.


Let's Brain Dump


If you have ever heard of brain dumping and prioritizing, that's what we're doing today.


We're learning how to make a to-do list to simplify your day.


My favorite way to do this is to take a few minutes and:

  1. Take all of the to-dos floating around in your head

  2. Put them all on paper

  3. Choose your top three priorities for the day

By writing all these things down, you're not waking yourself up at two o'clock in the morning anymore with, “Oh my god. I forgot to…”


It’s someplace so your brain stops ruminating over those little obsessive to dos.


So write it all down. It gets captured on paper. You can move on.



And then from that list, I look at my schedule, as well as my energy level for the day. If I have low energy, I do less stuff or less hard stuff.


And by figuring out what my top three priorities are, I’m able to determine the most realistic things that I can actually get done today.


And by doing this, I take the pressure off of the shoulda, woulda, coulda’s.


I get to focus on the few things I can actually get done and feel good, happy, and complete at the end of the day.


So I’d like to suggest you try out this little exercise this week:

  1. Brain dump all your to dos

  2. Figure out your three simple things you can get done
