FREE ONLINE CLASS- Castor Oil Packs for Pain+Inflammation

Castor oil packs are a fabulous way to help the body lower inflammation and reduce pain. In this class you will learn how to apply fomentations and some anti-inflammatory formulas using castor oil as a base, potentiating its benefits.

Castor oil pack has been used traditionally to reduce pain and inflammation, to support enhanced liver detoxification, and to rejuvenate tissue, all by applying herbs directly to the treated area. In this class, taught by herbalist Yamile Talero, we will discuss castor oil benefits, uses, some formulas and an application demonstration. If you feel like experimenting interactively during the class, please have these basic supplies ready, which you can find in a health food store: organic castor oil, organic wool flannel (12in x 18in), plastic wrap BPA free, an old towel, an old t-shirt and a hot water bag (silicone).

Yamile Talero comes from a professional background in conservation of natural forest ecosystems and demonstrating their value for environmental goods and services. She is most fascinated by the medicinal use of plants and cultural tradition of herbal medicine in daily life to optimize health and well being. As she grew in her studies of tropical forestry, so did her curiosity about medicinal plants and natural healing. In 2015, she joined Clinical Herbalism program for 3 years, completed advanced classes in herbal constituents, medicine making, and clinical assessment with various herbal teachers. Her current passion is making concentrated medicine that tastes good and has all the benefits that nature offers us.
