WHO WE ARE
Collaboration of Herbal & Holistic Practitioners
In 2019, several California Herbalists came together to create a California Herbal Medics Chapter that is focused on Fire Related Disaster Relief. Partnered together with the Artemisia Academy of Herbal Arts & Healing, we are currently providing a free monthly workshop on the first Saturday of each month at the Isla Vista Co-op. We hope these workshops will provide a pathway for people to learn about the California Herbal Medics mission, help to grow our membership, and provide the community with access to easy-to-make herbal remedies.
Herbal Medics is a country wide organization that trains people to set up Post Disaster Relief Herbal Clinics. Started by Sam & Suchil Coffman of the Herbal Medics Academy, they have expanded their organization to create free clinics across the country and internationally. In the last few years, they have created the Herbal Medics Chapters, to provide affordable herbal education and create a regional support system for disaster relief.
WHAT WE DO
Our Missions and Goals
Education: To provide ongoing free education about herbal medicine, permaculture, and post disaster response training
Community: To offer regular accessible community herbal clinics for the public
Preparedness: To train our own members to become disaster deployment ready, meaning to set up mobile herbal clinics during times of emergency
HOW YOU CAN HELP
We are currently preparing to put together a digital holistic health clinic to provide non-medical emergency support & alleviate the pressure on our medical system. If you are a holistic practitioner that has lost work
due to the outbreak, and would like to offer your services, please contact us below.
We are always looking for additional help in volunteer time and financial donations.
